"Melt in your mouth" dinner rolls by Rosanne Dietz

Dinner Rolls

1 package yeast
1/2 C warm water
1 TBS sugar
1 TBS baking powder
1 C milk
1/3 C butter
1/3 C suger
dash of salt
2 beaten eggs
4 1/2 C flour

Dissolve yeast in water.  Add 1 TBS sugar and baking powder and stir.  Let stand 20 min.  Scald milk.  Add butter, 1/3 C sugar and salt.  Cool.  Add eggs.  Combine with yeast mixture.  Add flour.  Knead for 10 min.  Let rise till double (1 hr).  Punch down.  Divide into 3 balls.  Roll into 12-14 inch circles.  Spread w/butter. cut into 8 wedges and shape into crescents.  Let rise 45 min.  Bake at 425 for 10 min or till golden.
